Graphite Goddess

Years ago, I raised Arabian horses and traveled the west coast doing nothing but Arabian horse art. They are amazing, graceful, gorgeous animals and I admit, I was very partial to their elegant ways. I thought Quarter horses, on the other hand, were quite awkward and clumsy looking, not so attractive at all. That all changed after I attended a rodeo in Reno! My respect and appreciation for Quarter horses changed completely after watching these intelligent and powerful animals “work”. I was in awe! So, in honor of the Quarter horse, here’s a graphite pencil drawing highlighting that very muscular and powerful rear end!
