Graphite Pencil Drawing: Polar Bear

My goal in this graphite pencil drawing was to draw “fluffy”. The polar bear’s fur, the snow, the atmosphere…it all had to be soft looking. Most of my drawings are done on Bristol Vellum paper, which has a tooth or slight texture to it. I did this drawing on plain old card stock you can buy at any WalMart. It is very smooth. I also used a paper blending tool to smudge the graphite around. Hopefully, you get the fluffy impression. :-)
