I was writing to tell my 3 year old grandson about seeing six black squirrels in my back yard and tried to draw one. Terrible. Since today is actually "Squirrel Appreciation Day" I was hoping to help my young students sketch a squirrel for their own nature journals. Since I am not an artist, but am working to help the students work on observation skills to support their science lessons, I was looking for examples of drawings that show detail.
